These are some suggested treatment directions based on my experience and education. Treatments can be broad or specific, light or deep pressure, with stories or with silence.

Treatments

MASSAGE- RELAXATION VS REMEDIAL

Full body relaxation treatments require 90 minutes. They help maintain that soft sense of self. But life happens- trauma, work, circumstances causing repetitive strain injuries with nerve compensation. Depending on your condition, we will work up to deep pressure to create change and improve your mobility. Treatment times and consistency may vary. I have helped folks with cervical strain, achilles tears, sciatica and shoulder/chest tightness from desk jobs and phone use.

POST NATAL

Recovering from childbirth or pregnancy is a long process requiring many adjustments. If recovering from a C-section, it is best to wait at least 6 weeks and have physician approval before massages, but reflexology or reiki work can be beneficial as a short treatment. The focus is always the mother’s choice.

TMJ

The temporal mandibular joint can cause many painful symptoms including headaches or clicking at the jaw. Treatment around the head, neck and face can be effective. Internal work in the mouth and cheek might be the massage you never knew you needed. This can be very powerful for vocalists. This can be part of a longer massage or a simply focused short treatment.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY

Foot treatments can aid in most localized foot conditions but it affects the whole body. The client can be positioned on the table or in a chair and need only remove their socks. If faced with an acute injury that contra-indicates massage or facing auto immune challenges, access through the feet can be most effective for pain and stress relief.

COMBINATION TREATMENT

90 minutes can be divided in half or thirds depending on your need. Modalities can have great strength on their own as more focus can be given to muscles or reflexes. But schedules are busy and with some modifications to sequencing these modalities can compliment effectively. Massage is always first so you can sink into the foot treatment. Reiki will be used last to support the improved circulation at work.

REIKI TREATMENT

Focused Reiki treatments are generally a cozy hour but they can still be quite powerful. It is energy work. Reiki can also compliment and boost the massage or reflexology either throughout or with focused time to close the treatment. Please contact to schedule a full Reiki treatment or have as an add on to your next session.
